Exploring civil rights through movement<br />
On January 27th, the Student Human Rights Fellows at the Kenan Institute for Ethics hosted local dancer, activist, and choreographer Tony C. Johnson. He presented pieces from a larger project, "Embodying History Through Movement," which explores experiences from slavery and the fight for civil rights in America through the movements of a small group of performers, some amateur dancers and some with extensive training. One performer later said "complete freedom of movement is very cathartic."<br />
